Matt and Nat, a Montreal-based company established in 1995 always examined new ways to remain eco-friendly and craft beautiful bags using vegan leather. Matt and Nat are committed to not using leather or any other animal-based materials in their designs. Their philosophy to ‘live beautifully’ and appreciate humanity has always been part of the brand and stamped in their name- Mat(t)-erial and NAT-ure. Over the years they’ve experimented with different recycled materials such as cardboard, cork, nylon and rubber. Since 2007, they’ve been using linings made out of 100% recycled plastic bottles which you will notice when holding the products in hand.
